How this information website handles ordinary requests, local tool entries, search queries and links to other services.
This notice describes the Bath Renting Guide application prepared on 3 November 2026. The site provides reading material, a directory and browser-based planning tools. It has no public accounts, advertising trackers, analytics integrations, contact forms or document-upload service.
Ordinary website requests
When a browser asks for a page or asset, the hosting system receives technical request information, which can include an IP address, requested URL, time, browser details and response status. The hosting provider may keep access and security logs. The application may record errors for maintenance. The deployed host’s retention and infrastructure arrangements are not established by this application package; no fixed retention period is invented here.
The application does not deliberately set a visitor session cookie for its reading pages, and it does not include third-party tracking scripts. A hosting or security service added later could change that position and would require this notice to be updated.
Planning-tool entries
The budget and viewing comparison tools calculate and display your entries in the current browser page. They do not send those entries to this website, place them in a URL, use localStorage or IndexedDB, or save them automatically. There is no account in which to retrieve a worksheet.
The reset controls clear the visible entries. Closing or reloading the page normally clears the tool’s working state, although your browser can retain pages, restore tabs or autofill controls according to its own settings. Avoid sensitive details when using a shared device. Printing or saving as PDF creates a copy under your own device’s control.
Site search
The optional guide search sends the words you enter to this server as part of the search URL. That URL can appear in browser history and hosting logs. Search pages are marked noindex and use no-store response caching. Do not include personal tenancy or financial information in a search phrase.
The letting-agent filter works locally on the already loaded directory and does not submit a search to the server.
External websites
Official sources and directory entries are ordinary links. Following a link takes you to another service, which has its own privacy and cookie arrangements. This site does not embed agency property feeds, maps, social widgets or university booking services.
Correspondence and questions
The publication does not currently offer a public correspondence inbox, so the application collects no direct messages. Contact & help explains the available routes for property, university and council questions. This notice must be reviewed if a contact service, analytics system or other personal-data processing is later introduced.
